Ashley & Vance Engineering is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on civil engineering work within California, but offers flexibility to be based out of our Bend, OR, Santa Barbara, CA, San Luis Obispo, CA or Denver, CO office locations.

At AV, you’ll continue building your civil engineering expertise while playing a key role in complex, rewarding projects. You’ll work alongside a supportive team that values mentorship, technical precision, and creative problem solving. Your responsibilities will include drafting, engineering design, coordinating with consultants and clients, managing schedules, and taking the lead on projects. You’ll also make sound engineering judgment calls—independently or with input from an EOR—and bring experience in at least two key areas of civil engineering, such as stormwater, water/hydraulics, sewer, or drafting. You’ll contribute to work that includes commercial and residential developments, infrastructure improvements, and large-scale public works projects, all while building confidence in your technical skills and practical engineering knowledge.

We’re looking for candidates who:

-Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

-Have 6+ years of experience in civil engineering

-Are ready to step into greater responsibility and continue advancing their career

-PE license preferred
