Robertsons Ready Mix (Heavy Equipment Mechanic)

Robertsons Ready Mix is seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic in El Cajon, California. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 or more years of experience with repairing and servicing different types of heavy equipment, (Caterpillar equipment, preferred). The mechanic will be responsible for the mining equipment used for our ready-mix production. Our goal is to ensure that all of our equipment is working safely, smoothly and efficiently to get daily tasks completed! Schedule: Monday-Saturday

Shift: 4:00 a.m. - End times vary daily (8–12-hour shifts)

Duties:

Preventative maintenance

Repair and replace damaged/faulty parts and components

Diagnose equipment using CAT ET

Utilize service vehicle throughout the plant (site)

Work closely with team on projects and daily tasks

Complete work orders (document daily work activity)

Keep records and logs of all services provided for each piece of equipment

Inspect vehicles (check for abnormalities, leaks, or sounds)

Qualifications:

2-4 years of experience working on similar equipment

Must be able to drive a manual transmission

Must be open for overtime, Saturday work is required

Must live withing 30–40-mile radius of job site

Must be comfortable working outdoors (sometimes harsh weather conditions)

Must successfully pass a background check and drug screen

Skills in welding is a plus
