for better network management and content delivery. As such, candidates must

demonstrate a track record of novel solutions in the form of products, open

source projects, utilities, and/or publications. Expertise in one or more areas

including cellular technology, video delivery, AR/VR, mobile app development

and instrumentation is a plus. Candidates must possess experience and

significant skills in software engineering and development, big data technologies

to process and draw insights from large volumes of data, and machine learning.

place to work.Key Roles and Responsibilities:This

Principal Inventive Scientist will identify, design, implement and drive

adoption of fundamental network management primitives and capabilities. These

could range from network optimizations around more efficient use of resources

to novel techniques and algorithms that help improve user experience and better

content delivery. They will have to work with business partners and others in

labs to identify important opportunities, devise appropriate solutions, and

help drive deployment of those solutions. To be successful, the individual

needs to demonstrate expertise in the breadth and depth of networks and

networked systems - understanding of networks (e.g., wired and wireless, 5G), architecture

and protocols, content delivery (e.g., video streaming, AR/VR), mobile apps,

and the complex relationship between them.In this

position you will: Demonstrate

vision and technical leadership to define and drive potential solutions into

the network and products. Work closely with internal and external business partners to identify

opportunities, and drive adoption. Work

with other labs partners and cross-departmental teams to design and implement innovative

solutions that scale across the spectrum of networks and services.

Prototype, implement, experiment, simulate and demonstrate potential benefits

of ideas. Socialize

ideas and their value with internal and external partners. Communicate boldly and openly with partners, management and peers to educate

them, share experiences and status, discuss ideas, and create new directions.Required Qualifications:A Ph.D. or a Master's of Science degree in a relevant field from an accredited university with 2 to 6 years of relevant experience

Degree from an accredited university in an approved field such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical or Electronic Engineering

Research experience in networking (LTE/5G, wired, WiFi), network management, network and distributed systems demonstrated through prior projects and/or publications in top venues

Experience:Research and expertise with content delivery technology like streaming-video, AR/VR, protocols etc. is desirable

Demonstrable hands-on expertise in system design and implementation, rapid prototyping, large scale data analysis, and machine learning
