We are a fast-paced veterinary practice seeking a responsible veterinary technician. Veterinary technicians assist with any and all services required for the successful operation of the practice, including but not limited to the diagnosis and treatment of companion animal injuries and illnesses; provision of preventive care; performance of medical, surgical, and diagnostic procedures; and animal care activities. Candidates must have a passion for pets. Other requirements include:
o Five years of veterinary technician experience.
o Associate's degree from a two-year veterinary technology program (AVMA accredited). Work experience or a four year bachelor's degree may be substituted (at the discretion of the practice).
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
o Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
o Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
o Excellent time management skills.
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to prioritize tasks.
o Ability to work well in a team.
o Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of standing and lift 40-50 pounds without assistance.
o Licensure as a veterinary technician preferred.
o Experience with veterinary practice management software preferred.
