Entry Level Shipping Clerk

MMI Engineered Solutions is looking for an energetic, organized, and technically skilled professional with a positive outlook to join our Team as a Shipping Clerk! The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for incoming and outgoing shipments to our customers. Our ideal candidate will have strong computer skills and the ability to multi-task and demonstrated organizational skills.

Essential Duties Include but are not limited to the following:

Keep records on outgoing/incoming shipments.

Utilize knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, rates, and optimize cost.

Maintain and oversee shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other shipping records to understand shipping priorities and assignments and do a shift end summary of orders being picked up and pick tickets that are still left on the floor.

Create and maintain shipping work instructions.

Provide support and training as required.

Participate in problem-solving teams.

Participate in customer complaint responses for all customer-specific requirements.

Keep management aware of product shortages.

Qualifications:

College degree preferred

One (1) to two (2) years of Shipping/Receiving, including handling bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other shipping records

Strong understanding and skills in the use of electronic communications, including MS Outlook, text communication, and MS Teams (e.g., instant messaging)

The ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment

Proven organizational skills with strong detail orientation

Strong ability to work with others

Demonstrated computer skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Excel and other MS Office software

Ability to manage customer concerns in a positive and constructive manner

Ability to work overtime and Saturday's (as required for inventory)

Previous experiencing operating forklifts a plus (Willingness to learn a must)

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
