JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Construction Superintendent oversees and supervises the daily execution of construction activities on a designated project. This position will provide support to the on-site Superintendent with the coordination of activities for the projects including safety, planning, and scheduling field personnel as required in order to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or its equivalent and at least five (5) years of field experience on new construction, renovation and/or tenant finish-out
Ability to read and understand engineering plans and drawings
Ability to read a project schedule
Must be able to motivate the jobsite team and coordinate trades
Leadership and training skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience using a computer or the ability to learn how to use a computer
Strong work ethic, punctual and reliable
Experience in healthcare construction is preferred
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS
Valid Driver’s License
OSHA Training (preferred but not required)
CPR/First Aid (preferred but not required)
