Title: IT Subject Matter Expert (SME)Location: Columbia, MDEmployment Type: Full time with Sparksoft Corporation

Description:In support of our contract with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) we are seeking a number of qualified candidates to support our ongoing effort. We are looking for highly skilled individuals that have experience in supporting technology and business modernization efforts. We has immediate opening(s) for the following position to support our client’s modernization of their Enterprise environment. Primary services are to be supported in Lanham, Maryland with potential travel to other client’s site across the US. As an IT SME, you will:
  • Lead and coordinate aspects of major modernization efforts, including but not limited to, requirements definition, system development, system support, infrastructure, security, and communications with contractors, customers, peers and supervisors
  • Provide top-quality expertise to manage project requirements, but also introduce new and useful tools and practices. Work closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value
  • Collaborate with external and internal customers to understand business strategies and future initiatives to determine future process solution needs
  • Remain continually aware of external and internal business, infrastructure, and technical issues to aid in the development and delivery of innovative solutions for collections. Develop the system architecture and ensure efforts align with Fiscal Service, IRS, and Federal Government business and data architecture goals

Requirements:
  • Attention to Detail, such as resolving issues related to all phases of IT planning, testing, and implementation.
  • Customer Service, such as collaborating with external and internal customers to understand business strategies and future initiatives.
  • Oral Communication, such as communicating technical impact to business owners and other vested parties.
  • Problem Solving, such as resolving and mitigating business process management problems that arise.
  • Ability to populate the Integrated Master Schedule
  • Skilled with understand, creating, maintaining MS Project
  • Strong understanding of the IRS ACA Verification Service (AVS) / Premium Tax Credit (PTC) applications and related architecture
  • Knowledge of SDLC phases with strong experience in design and development
  • Provide architectural and technical leadership to IT team.
  • Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and process to deliver and maintain high quality platform for AVS/PTC.
