Do you love working with kids? Come join our team at Little Dreamers Learning Center! An assistant teacher offers support to the lead teacher in the daily program for children, supervises the class, help with snacks/meals, and helps maintain a safe and clean environment.

We are looking to add a couple of friendly faces to our team! The position is part-time and we can be flexible with hours. This position may be ideal for a high school student who can only work in the afternoon, a college student who has an odd school schedule, a mother who sends her kids to school during the day, and more!

You must be able to pass the State required background checks, have a negative TB test within the past 12 months and willing to do the required professional development. If you think you are the right fit, please send an email sharing a little about your experience with children!

When you join our team as an Assistant Teacher you will:

· Assist teachers with the implementation of lessons in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.

· Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.

· Partner with parents with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children

· Maintain positive relationships with families, teachers and state licensing authorities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Ensure the daily care of every child by following all licensing guidelines and implementing all company standards.

· Help to maintain a fun and interactive classroom that is clean and organized.

JOB FUNCTIONS

· Responsible for actively participating in activities and meetings.

· Responsible for informing the lead teacher of any specific needs or concerns regarding the students.

· Interact with co-workers, administration, students, parents and the community in a professional, supportive and cooperative manner.

· Serves as a positive role model.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· A High School diploma or equivalent

· Flexibility as to the hours and schedule of work

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day

· CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain
