Job Description Summary

The primary functions of the Staff Accountant at Hana Group North America will be in accounts receivable, fixed assets, property accounting, and corporate reporting. We are looking for someone that has a strong desire for personal growth, as there is exponential opportunity for career advancement. We are looking for someone with drive and determination that wants to take on a hands-on role. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ accounting experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or relevant field.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for accurate and timely posting of invoices and credits
  • Enter invoices and send statement to outstanding accounts; Interact with vendors to resolve outstanding issues
  • Prepare invoice and sales information for all Hana Group subsidiaries and franchise location’s reporting
  • Serve as an expert on accounting matters related to accounts receivable
  • Maintain a highly visible position within the company as the main person responsible for all accounting related to fixed assets
  • Record and report entries for sales and disposals of fixed assets; Communicate with all necessary levels of staff and management
  • Responsible for period reconciliations of all fixed asset accounts including clearing accounts
  • Maintain up-to date capital expenditure reporting
  • Complete property accounting functions and reporting for rent and lease reconciliation
  • Support manager with month end closing, reporting, tracking and reconciliations
  • Timely and accurate preparation and reporting of daily sales-based financial data, in accordance with applicable accounting, industry, regulatory and institutional principles and policies
  • Provide financial status information and prepare ad hoc reports as requested

Qualifications

  • BSc/BA in accounting, finance or relevant field
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • Understanding and knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficient in Word and Excel
