Senior Mechanical Foreman Load & Haul

Job Description

You will be required to:

• Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment
• Attend to defects raised on pre-start reports, breakdown sheets and over-inspection reports
• Perform equipment over-inspection on work done by apprentices and operators
• Provide relevant feedback to the Supervisor and co-workers
• Carry out scheduled and non-scheduled repairs and installation
• Discuss work backlog and future work requirements with the Supervisor
• Identify spares requirements and order accordingly
• Adherence to policies and procedures
• Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health & Safety Act regulations, manufacturing and company standards

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / N3 /relevant National NQF4 level qualification
• 3+ Years continuous experience as a Diesel Mechanic in an Underground Trackless Mobile Machinery Mining Environment or relevant trade qualification
• Minimum of 3 years previous experience in supervision of maintenance of Trackless Mobile Machinery (LHD’s and Dump Trucks for tunnel development) in underground environment
• Code EB/Code 8 Driver’s License.
• Computer Literacy – MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook)

• Load Haul Dumpers (LHD’s)
