Material Handler / Portage, MI 49002Kelly Services is currently seeking several Material Handlers for one of our top clients in Portage, MI 49002 . These are temp-to-hire opportunities with an industry-leading Fortune 500 medical device company!Shift: 1st shift: 6 am to 2:30 pm

2nd shift 2:00pm to 10:30pm

Pay Rate : $13.50/hr - 1st $14.50 2nd and 3rd

Duration : Long Term - Temp to Hire Opportunity!

Job Description:Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near plant, yard, or work site.

Inspects materials for quality/defects.

Moves materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.

Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.

Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet.

Cleans work area, machines, and equipment. Assembles crates to contain products when required.

Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers.

Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together. Adheres to all safety rules and regulations.

Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent

Ability to stand for long periods of time and repetitively lift up to 50 pounds.

Ability to identify material by part number or written description.
