Experienced Respite Caregiver for Special Needs

Job Overview

HR Alliance is a Fiscal Intermediary Agency providing services to Self-Determination CMH Clients. We are seeking to hire an experienced Special Needs Caregiver to provide quality services in the Southwest Michigan area.

Responsibilities for Special Needs Caregiver

- Address client needs with respect and attention to safety

- Assists clients with daily living activities: bathing, grooming, dressing, eating and using the bathroom

- Active engage clients through conversation and companionship

- Engage with clients in a manner that promotes their independence and maintains their dignity

- Help with meal preparation, planning and grocery shopping

- Perform light housekeeping duties

- Report any unusual incidents or behavior

-Administer medications as outlined/instructed

Qualifications for Caregiver

- Must be 18 years of age

- High school diploma or GED

- Valid diver's license with a registered vehicle that is insured

- Ability to pass a background check

- Current CPR/First Aid Certification

- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

- Possess a professional and upbeat attitude

- Compassionate and respectful

- Reliable

- Ability to work a flexible schedule
