Includes monthly preparation and analysis of management reports, preparation of weekly reporting, and assists with the calculation and preparation of journal entries. Coordinates across functional areas to ‘tell the story’ and provides input to be able to drive actions and cost of care (CoC) initiatives.Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Prepares budgets, forecasts, trend analyses and expense accruals.

Provides information for various monthly journal entries.

Compiles and prepares standard and adhoc financial reports

Assist Manager in preparing, but not limited to, the following reports

Daily census reports

Monthly reports to the markets

Weekly claims summary reports

Assist in the creation of the MFR report

Research and analyze utilization management reports to identify trends and initiatives to impact the CoC and prepares and presents those to leadership

Assist with the updating the outlook monthly

Assist with the annual budget preparation

Assist with developing and implementing CoC savings targets and monitor against those targets

Works with manager on reconciling revenue & claims quarterly

Work with manager on developing CoC initiatives based on the trends found

Ability to coordinate across functional areas (Network Management, Clinical (UM), Finance, Actuarial, and other)

Qualifications Requirements:At least 3 – 5 years of work experience with at least one in the managed healthcare industry preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or Related Field : or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
