In this Accountant role, you will be responsible for assisting the Controller in managing and executing all matters relating to the administrative and accounting functions of the accounting departments. This could be the ideal position for you, if you are a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with a talent for creating Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets.For immediate consideration, please reach out to David Sehoyan at 248-205-5582 ext 48122 or email David.sehoyan@roberthalf.comKey responsibilities-Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies.-Assist with financial reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information.-Bank and Credit Card reconciliations-Meets the deadlines of the month end processes, account reconciliations, troubleshooting variances-Prepares reports to meet the analytical needs of the management team-Support management in addressing both formal and informal data request and inquiries-Process accounts receivable receipts-Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as assigned by Controller.-Provide support within the accounting department in the functions of accounts payable, payroll and billing.-Cross train on other accounting positions in organization.-On-boarding new hires-Conducting benefit enrollment process-Maintaining HR files and databases-Participating in benefits tasks, such as claim resolutions, reconciling benefits statements and invoices-Maintaining computer systems by updating and entering data-Quotation Management-Assess BOM complexity & requirements for acquisition projects-Calculate parts with Costing support-Estimate and verify tooling cost with tool experts & Engineering-Align and confirm BOM calculation with Vice President-Lead & coordinate early supplier involvement activities (RFQ´s; Technical Reviews)-Work with Project Controller to align PC assumptions-Awarded or Revised quotes - process customer purchase orders and/or changes. Verifying PO data entry is accurate-Develop a strong relationship with all vendors and ensure that Company is getting the best possible price. Solicit bids, analyze those quotes, and recommend to Management who is the best overall vendor, looking at price, reputations, etc.-Maintain customer relationships-Sales Reports – By customer name and total - daily, monthly and yearly. Issue to managementRequirements2-3+ years of accounting experience.

-Strong detail orientation.-Ability to demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills.-Ability to analyze and interpret financial statements.-High level of confidentiality.-Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations.-Work well as part of a team, but also independently, self-starter.-Ability to work efficiently and to routinely complete tasks within time budgets.SYSTEMS REQUIREMENTS:-Experience with accounting related software/systems.
