Quality Carpenters and Framers Needed

Who is DEC?:

We are a family-owned and local fire & water restoration company based in Birmingham, AL. We have been in business since 1999, and we currently employ around 35 people.

What does DEC do?:

We like to think of ourselves as first responders during catastrophic times. We cleanup and repair residential and commercial buildings after fire damage, water damage or mold has occurred. Along with putting the home or office back into pre-loss condition, we also have the capability to clean the owner's personal contents and clothing. When we get done with the job, the homeowner should never be able to tell they had a problem.

Who are we looking for?:

We are looking for a hard working, knowledgeable person with several years experience in the construction industry. You don't have to know how to build a house from the ground up or run crews of 20, but you do need the ability to do general project framing and most of the typical things involved in renovating a home. Right now we've got several guys that are skilled in drywall and paint, flooring, etc but we're missing some good all-around framers and carpenters. We will supply all materials needed, and any specialty tools required for the job. What is the position?:

This is a full-time, in-house construction position in our Birmingham, AL location. You will answer to a Project Manager that will be inspecting your work and telling you what to do on each project. With our current workload now though, they will keep you busy. We also have a Job Superintendent that will make sure you have the materials you need to get the jobs done.

What does it pay?:

The pay can vary in this position from $18/hr to $25/hr based on skills and experience. We pay every Friday. If you need a good helper to work with you on certain jobs, we can supply that for you too.
