Have CDL but no passenger endorsement, Starting wage: $17.16 hourly
Positions are Variable to start, then Full time with benefits, upon successful completion of training program.

Job Purpose of a Transit Operator- Underfill
Transit Operators are the company’s ambassadors reflecting our values and guiding principles, transporting customers in a safe, timely manner to their destination within the City of Flagstaff. Operator staff have a profound understanding of the following: streets and common destinations to aid in trip planning, ability to schedule pick up/drop off of ondemand passengers, transportation equipment, safety checks, and DOT requirements as a function of operating on city streets. Staff is charged with safe vehicle operations and interacting with customers in an often-fast paced environment. Staff will utilize excellent communication skills, both written and oral, customer service, and decision making skills to operate efficiently and adhere to a strict routing timetable.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Act as an Operator for both bus and paratransit services
Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is mechanically sound and completes all
documentation as required
Maintains knowledge of and adherence with all Mountain Line policies, procedures, and safety requirements
Responsible for safe operation of transit vehicles and adherence to traffic regulations
Provides safe, timely and courteous service to all Mountain Line passengers particularly those with mobility
challenges
Engage and support a culture of workplace safety
Responsible for operation of transit vehicles in inclement weather safely, while adhering to all regulations
including FTA, ADA, and traffic laws
Prepares accurate, respectful, timely, and legible documentation when needed, including but not limited to
accident and incident reports
Responsible for honest, accurate, respectful, and trustworthy communication with passengers and co-workers
Provides exceptional customer service to all Mountain Line passengers in accordance with Mission and Vision.
Maintains a professional company image, while working in cooperation with City of Flagstaff and Coconino County
representatives

Attend scheduled trainings and meetings as a component of the Transit Operator position.
Understanding of current passes and fares, assist customers with paper fare solution
Assist with passenger questions concerning pass operations, changing policies, and riding procedures.
May perform on the job training for new operators
