Position: ReStore Cashier/Scheduler

Hours: Part-Time

Up to 28 hours per week. Schedule may vary based on business needs during normal operating hours, Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am-5:30pm

We are looking for a part-time Cashier Lead who enjoys working with the public and has a friendly, outgoing personality. The ideal candidate is dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and displays a positive attitude when interacting with customers and employees.

Since 1989 Habitat for Humanity of Flathead Valley has built 60 homes in the Flathead Valley for low income families in need of affordable housing.

Duties and Responsibilities

Accurately collect and process transactions

Follow proper cash handling procedures

Assist customers in locating merchandise

Answer incoming phone calls and schedule donations

Maintain a neat and clean workspace

Assist with donation receiving and processing when needed

Prepare store for opening and closing

Other duties as assigned by management

Required Skills and Experience

A passion for Habitat’s mission to provide affordable homeownership to families in need

Excellent customer service skills; Solid application of interpersonal and communications skills, internally and externally, with groups and individuals.

The ability and willingness to interact with donors to increase merchandise in the store.

Demonstrated ability to work in a consistent, positive and safety conscious manner.

A history of successfully adapting to rapidly changing conditions with unexpected shifts in priorities.

Ability to safely lift and position up to 35 pounds. Job will entail occasional bending, kneeling and reaching, often in awkward or tiring positions. Bulk of time will be spent standing, walking and otherwise assisting customers.
