Job Summary: Provide care for laboratory animals on BSL2/3 project in specialized housing situations. Ensure that all animals(including gnotobiotic animals and animals located in ventilated racks are fed, watered and cared for in compliance with USDA regulations. Ensure that animal facilities are maintained in compliance with CDC, OSHA and NIH guidelines.Pay scale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 6: $40,759.00 - $58,086.00 - $75,413.00 (min - mid - max)FLSA: HourlyMinimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural, life or health care science directly related to the assigned area of research and two years advanced journel-level work experience in a clinical or research setting.Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred: AALAS Certification at the level of Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) is required within 6 months of eligibility therefore, final candidate will be asked for copy of degree.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform job functions in an upright position.
