Preschool Teacher/Assistant M-F 8-4:30

Licensed preschool program with 12 children ages 2-5 is seeking the perfect match to teach and assist with the program. The program is open M-F 7:30-5:30 and is run similar to a morning preschool program typically run out of churches. The children then stay for lunch & nap and have mostly free play during afternoon pickup. The perfect match will be warm, positive, loving, energetic, & FUN-loving, have a great work ethic, and able to pass background check requirements. The preschool program is located inside a home, but looks and operates like a traditional preschool classroom. The preschool is located off 295 between the Staples Mill Road & Woodman Road exits. The teacher/assistant would be responsible for helping with all aspects of learning, such as theme based lessons, circle time, crafts, music, library, science experiments, cooking fun, and games. The teacher/assistant would be responsible to help with meal and snack preparation, distribution, and clean up. The teacher/assistant would be responsible to help with toileting, diapering, and handwashing. The teacher/assistant would be required to have FUN and dress up on certain theme days and parties i.e. Halloween costume, pajama day, yellow day, etc. The teacher/assistant would be responsible for annual training as mandated by social services. The position will start Sept. 8. , which is when the 2020-2021 school year begins. The program is year round, but operates as a summer fun program during the summer months. The hours are 8-4:30 (1 hr lunch break during naptime) M-F $10 an hour to start with paid federal holidays. Two weeks paid vacation offered after one year.
