Primrose Retirement is seeking an individual to fill our dietary aide position. A dietary aide is instrument in our dining experience. They work with our residents and the kitchen to create an outstanding dining experience. The dietary aid is reasonable for seating, drink service, and helping with order taking. Working directly with the kitchen as a food runner and making sure each resident receives their meal in a timely fashion. Dietary aides assist with meal service, dishes and food preparation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School diploma preferred

Experience: serving in a restaurant setting preferred

Ability to read, write and follow instructions

Willingness to work in a kitchen setting and dining room

Ability to work one on one with residents and kitchen staff to create the dining experience

Motor coordination and manual dexterity is required for various work routines such as preparing food items, serving meal trays, handling soiled dishes, operating dietary equipment and cleaning work area

Able and willing to work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends and some evenings.

Physical Demands: Must be able to reach, stoop, bend, carry and manipulate various food items. Lifting, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs. Using proper body mechanics or available equipment to help. Physical activity required throughout the shift.

Exposure to temperature and humidity changes in the kitchen such as: the area near or around the ovens, refrigeration, ranges, dishwasher machines.
