This international industry leader has an immediate 2-4+ month contract opportunity (with strong chance for extension/conversion) in Marana, AZ for a Network Operations Center Engineering Technician. Must be able work onsite Monday-Friday up to 45+ hours per week. The NOC is a mix of information technology (IT), networking, customer service and support. This position requires traveling multiple times per week. Will often work within a team environment where you will be expected to share information and rely on the actions of other team members. There is rarely a routine day. Several times per pay period, you will serve as the primary NOC technician fielding support calls, troubleshooting system outages and working with others to resolve complex issues. Other days, you will be expected to help support other team members, improve your assigned facility, improve processes, document lessons learned, train or learn about other projects. You will be expected to routinely work weekends as part of a shift work schedule. Requirements: • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science preferred. • Certifications in IT & Networking desired (e.g. CCNA, Sec+, Net+, GCUX, Linux+, CND, Microsoft Technology Associate). • 5 years experience in IT, Networking or System Administration. Preferred: • Windows 10, Windows Server 2016, VMware - VCenter. • Linux Administration. • Active Directory and user accounts. • Cisco switch and router basic knowledge and experience. • Basic Microwave Radio Networking knowledge and experience. • Backup and Tape Library experience; Veeam desired. • Desktop Support experience, Image capture and restore experience useful. • Wireshark or packet capture knowledge and experience helpful. • SolarWinds knowledge and experience desired. • Scripting of .bat, Perl, PowerShell, and others helpful. • Video walls, multiple monitor setup, video recording and configuration experience; Milestone desired. • SQL basic knowledge and experience. • NetApp desired. • Helpdesk experience and use of helpdesk ticket systems. Required Travel: • Driving to sites when needed that are 30 minutes to 3 hours away. • Occasional overnight or longer travel to sites are possible. • Travel up to 50% of the time. Must be U.S. Citizen as this position requires the ability to hold and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secret Clearance.
