DescriptionRequirement: The FAA Quality Assurance Branch (AQS) needs a senior technical writer to support the AVS Management team, and to assist in responses to the Workforce audit and subsequent other assignments similar in nature. This individual must be able to synthesize, write, and edit technical data. Also, provides expertise to conduct research, evaluations and studies and present recommendations/solutions related to short and long-term program planning requirements. Provides assistance and recommendations to FAA managers and staff who directly affect the conduct and attainment of agency goals.Job Description: The Technical Writer writes, in clear, plain, and concise language, in support of such technical documents as procedure manuals, service manuals, and related technical publications concerned with installation, operation, and maintenance of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and other equipment. Writes technical documentation; such as, operational specifications, bulletins, articles, and marketing publications. Acquires or verifies knowledge of subject by interviewing stakeholders engaged in developing new products and services or in making improvements, observing performance of experiments or methods of production, references and uses blueprints, sketches, engineering drawings and notes, trade and engineering journals, rewrites of articles, bulletins, manuals, or similar publications.QualificationsQualifications: (Level 4 - Senior) Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with background in technical writing. Senior level experience working with Government Executives and specific knowledge of FAA.
