Job Description
My client in SW Lower Michigan is looking for a Sr. Security Engineer to join their team. This person is responsible for the oversight, implementation, and maintenance of the network security infrastructure including security framework design, security architecture, security policy and standards, email security, firewall infrastructure, vulnerability detection and remediation, monitoring, log collection/correlation, and intrusion detection/prevention. This position will work closely with Risk and Compliance team to review internal and external audit findings and devise recommendations and implementation plans for remediation. Additional responsibilities include overseeing VPN configuration, technical risk assessment, multi-factor authentication, Incident Response, identity management, and general security consulting for enterprise projects. Other duties will be to assess information security risks with new and existing application environments, provide mentoring to those as assigned, produce written reports of findings, risk, and recommendations, and assist with further development of information security policies, standards and procedures. This position will support the integration of the application security program within the SDLC, as well as project management responsibilities as assigned. Primary function of the position will include implementation, configuration and support of security specific technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewalls, patch management solutions, data loss prevention, anti-virus, application whitelisting, forward and reverse proxies, mobile device management.
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Minimum Seven years direct experience in information security including security design, implementation, and consulting
- At least two industry security certification such as CISSP, SSCP, CASP, GIAC, etc.
- One advanced IT certification (MCSA, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, etc.) is required.
- Experience with security specific products such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, data loss prevention, application white listing, anti-virus, firewalls, MDM, proxies, etc.
- Experience with various firewall products including Checkpoint, Juniper, Cisco, SonicWALL, PaloAlto,
- Must be familiar with risk assessment methodologies, practices and regulatory compliance.
