Business Systems Analyst

Functions as a technical expert for discovery and definition of API features and functional capabilities within the enterprise in order to create value and impact for digital products leveraged by customers.Collaborates with consumers (internal and external) and information technology organizations to define functional requirements and functional designs of creative solutions that will support the consumer's strategy and future business goalsHas a general understanding of Common Data Model concept and helps maintain data dictionarySupports IT Architecture & Development organization in clarifying functional requirements and functional design during development of solutionUnderstands Requirements/Interviews Product OwnerAsks leading questions to help unravel gaps in requirementsDrives requirements from security and performance aspectsDevelops deep understanding of data, business entities and relationship between data elementsReview back-end/vendor/data-provider API documentation and use it to create initial SOAPUI validation of back-end APIsUnderstands the big picture and provide recommendationsProvides recommendations for organization and structure of the APIs into enterprise products; coordinate with ProductDemonstrates ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively approach solutions, and decide and influence appropriate courses of actionStrong understanding of JSON, XSD, XML data representationsSolid understanding of RESTful APIs, API design best practices -object orientedSolid understanding of API testing tools such as SOAPUI and/or PostmanExperienced in JIRA use, Knowledge of SDLC, Waterfall and Agile methodologiesExperience in mapping data between multiple systems and creating data-maps as required Preferred: Graduate degree experience with web technologies, alternatively cloud and/or mobileExperience working in an API organization within the IT department;Experience being part of team driving Common Data Model requirements in an organization (able to ask about business entities, resource)Knowledge of Credit Union/Banking/Financial Industry domainKnowledge of credit/debit cards and/or home/personal banking businessExperience with Agile, writing features, epics and storiesStrong communication skills, including experience facilitating requirements analysis and functional design working sessions; Strong process management, negotiating, influencing, and problem resolution skillsExcellent analytical skills where problems may be unusualExperience with business process re-engineering; Demonstrated knowledge of supported disciplineBroad technical experience across technical components including infrastructure, network, applications, data, and information securityFamiliarity with the company's existing information architecture, application portfolio, and information management methodologyFamiliarity with API management portals
