DescriptionIf you're looking for an excellent opportunity, you might be the Full Charge Bookkeeper Accountemps is looking for. To be successful in this role and take advantage of the growth potential, you should multitask effectively, manage your time well, and have strong communication and organizational skills. You will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions, such as preparing financial statements, and establishing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives. Based in San Bernardino, California, the Full Charge Bookkeeper role is a temporary opportunity.What you get to do every dayPreserving historical records through accurate filing of documents

Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including collections

Tracking fixed assets and preparing depreciation schedules

Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers

Putting together the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement

Handling monthly, quarterly and year end close, accurately and on time

Performing reconciliations for bank and general ledgers, as well as payroll processing

Studying and adhering to federal, state, and local legal requirements, filing reports, and detailing needed actions to management

RequirementsHigh school diploma or similar accreditation, and an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended

Prior experience with Excel and Peachtree

Highly organized and self-motivated

Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports

Be creative, adaptive, and eager to learn new technical skill sets

Account reconciliation experience

Expertise in account reconciliation

Proven knowledge of Monthly Financial Reports

Well-founded grasp of Prepare Financial Reports

QuickBooks experience is a MUST

Foundational knowledge in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds

Prior payroll experience preferred

3+ years of experience in the bookkeeping field

Capable of working independently with minimal oversight

A thorough knowledge of accrual and cash basis of accounting
