Laboratory Technician04 months contractCharlotte,NC Responsibilities:1st Shift (M-F 8am-4:30 pm) no weekendsExecutes Validation Test Plans according to agreed instructions, including international and Electrolux internal standards.Responsible for conducting long-term project testing and general lab maintenance on assigned shiftSets up and prepares tests in terms of equipment, samples, area, materials and any other conditions necessary to properly complete the evaluation.Undertakes assigned technical tasks of low complexity under the supervision of professional colleagues.Uses existing procedures to support the daily laboratory activities. Receives instructions, guidance and direction from others.The Laboratory Technician Specialist position may be preceded by a Lab Operator entry point where new employees learn from colleagues and build up experience of our products and processes.General Profile: The ideal candidate would have a good work ethic with a focus on documenting observations and attention to detail; demonstrates competence in own area and knowledge of general business principles; prioritizes and organizes own work to deliver to agreed deadlines; and works on practical tasks following established procedures with moderate/limited guidance. The position requires the ability to stay busy on your feet and lift light loads.Professional Knowledge: Deepening knowledge/skills in one area or broadening ability in a variety of areas. Applies knowledge/skills to standard day to day activities; understands how the team collaborates with others to accomplish team objectives.Interpersonal Skills: Contributes in team activities, sharing experience and ideas.Typical Experience: 1-3 years related experience or an entry level job for a technical school graduate. Prefer 2+ years direct experience with appliance manufacturing, quality, or testing background (mechanical/ electrical/software)
