Partnerships in Community Living, Inc (PCL) is recruiting for Transition & Children’s (T&C) Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide fun, life enhancing services to children who live in Medford and experience Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). We are looking for a variety of people to work with us! No experience working in this field? No problem! We train you to do the job! Wages are $13.50-$15.00/hr after paid required training is completed (some shifts have differentials, up to $15.00/hr). Training paid at minimum wage.

Live in Wed 12p- Fri 5p

Live in Fri 5p- Sun 9p

All shifts include a weekly team meeting: Tuesday 9a-11a

All of these listed positions will also receive the following differentials, in addition to the base wage:

$1.00/hour - for serving children

$0.50/hour - location differential

$0.25/hour - awake overnight

Essential Functions:

To be able to do this job, you must:

Consistently and frequently engage with the children you’re providing support, to help them build independence, emotional regulation, and communication skills.

Be willing to play and share the fun part of life with a child while ensuring their safety.

Maintain a strong understanding of all support documents and systems in place for the children you support.

Be able to regularly attend all training, team meetings, and scheduled shifts as outlined in the position acceptance.

Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 25lbs. Depending on work location, some positions may require a higher lifting requirement.

Have basic computer skills and be able to complete all required documentation via computer or written, as required.

Receive and maintain CPR, Oregon Intervention System (OIS - IF), Bloodborne Pathogens, Mandatory Abuse Reporting certification, and other certifications required by the position, PCL, and other governing agencies.

Be able to respond to emergency and/or crisis situations while on shift using the least intrusive method to ensure safety, which may at times require physical interventions.

Maintain positive relationships with children supported, PCL team members, and others with whom you will interact.

Be able to work unsupervised and alone with children who are supported.

Requirements:

Be at least 18 years old.

Pass a pre-employment drug test for the use of illegal drugs.

Be able to regularly lift a minimum of 25lbs (some positions require more).

Be able to attend a two week orientation located in Grants Pass (M-F, generally 8AM-5PM) however we may be flexible with prior communication. Compensation:

All employees are paid on a monthly basis.

Base Wage $13.50/hour (including all of the differentials listed below = $15.00/hour)

$1.00/hour - for serving children

$0.50/hour - location differential

$0.25/hour - awake overnight

Full time employees (30 or more hours a week) are eligible for 401(K), Paid Time Off, Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance and Life Insurance coverage.
