Job DescriptionThese professionals help support the growth of Aetna Signature Administrators (ASA) and First Health/Cofinity revenue, customer, membership and/or profit earnings growth by providing strategic and technical support throughout the sales support process. The goal of the Sales Support Consultant is to meet customer needs and help them make better decisions and about their health care and health care spending.Fundamental ComponentsAnalyze strategic product and network capabilities on the behalf of Aetna Signature Administrators and/or First Health/Cofinity that meet the needs and expectations of the customer.
Consult and articulate a value proposition with Sales Executives and Account Managers.
Multi-tasks to accomplish workload efficiently and assist in the development of customer sales strategies by coordinating with Sales and Account Management, Underwriting and Sales Support team members to ensure timeliness and quality of proposals which may include:
Soliciting the appropriate network access reports such as GeoAccess reports, Disruption Analysis, Discount Analysis, Claim Repricings and others that promote the Aetna value story.
Customize responses to non-standard and standard questions to incorporate the overall proposal strategy.
Managing multiple prospects and sales support activities at various stages of the sales process by following established set of procedures for RFP follow-up, including responding to additional questions, clarification of original responses, and preparing all financial exhibits/document and assumptions.
Background ExperienceSome college work desired, preferably in Management Information Systems (MIS) or Health Informatics.
Strong written and verbal communication is required.
Experience working with Word and Microsoft Excel including working with Pivot Tables and fundamental knowledge of formula’s is required (Microsoft Access is DESIRABLE).
Experience in claims processing or billing is preferred.
Proven ability to work independently; reliable and dependable in past jobs.
