Standard clerks are responsible for the day-to-day accounting activities including depositing checks to appropriate bank accounts, timely processing of accounts receivable, and preparing cash receipts entries for the general ledger. Banking clerks are responsible for the bank reconciliation process for corporate bank accounts. Involves high volumes of transactions requiring significant attention to detail in order to reconcile to internal cash receipt and payment transactions. Also includes general accounting and filing.Qualifications:Education: Associates Degree in Accounting or related subject. Proven experience may be substituted for education on a year for year basis. This experience includes knowledge of basic accounting concepts, such as accrual vs cash basis accounting and double entry bookkeeping.

Experience: Minimum of one year of relevant experience.

Licenses/Certificates/Registration: None.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required: Ability to effectively communicate orally and through writing; knowledge of office practices and procedures; ability to use standard office machines; ability to maintain accurate and legible records; ability to prepare reports using basic formulas, pivot tables, formatting, etc. in Excel; knowledge of computers and basic experience with Microsoft Office such as simple spreadsheets or Word documents; ability to work independently with minimal direction; and ability to prioritize tasks and schedule work time.
