Senior Software Engineer

We are hiring for a long-term critical role that is part of an innovative team created to solve business-critical problems, which deliver the next generation cloud platform and products, using cutting-edge technologies. This role will work closely with business and technology partners to accomplish high-priority business strategies and is the primary lead architect responsible for full stack solutions for a growing business unit. This individual has the technical breadth and depth in cloud architectures, and is a leader with strong communication skills who has led and mentored teams, is influential across the organization, and has been in positions where they have delivered results that have had impact to the business.

• Primary liaison between business unit technology teams
• Solution architect on joint business unit projects
• Developer/developer lead on software engineering projects
• Represents business units in corporate technology governance requirements (security, tech architecture, data management, etc)
• Leads technical integration projects
• Manages and coordinates technical and operational issues across technology teams
• Serves as subject matter expert on technical business process integration

• Communicates complex technical concepts to a broad range of audiences, including business, vendors, and technical partners.
• Develops technical architecture roadmaps.
• Ensures solutions are deployed that are aligned with business application architecture.
• Facilitates and manages the solution ideation, solution design, and solution implementation.
• Maintains understanding of technology trends and represents possibilities and innovative solutions with technology and business partners.
• Communicates the architecture to stakeholders and collaborates and coordinates with existing domain architects in the formalization and adoption of IT standards and procedures.
• Manages the technology roadmap and lifecycle addressing upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning requirements.

• Demonstrated platform experience: Linux and Apache
• Demonstrated database experience: MySQL
• Demonstrated application experience: PHP, Javascript, Java
• Demonstrated experience in design and creation of API’s
• Cloud platform expertise (Compute/virtualization, Microservices, Containerization, Storage, Network, CDN, Messaging, Database, Security, Monitoring)

• Experience as a technical liaison across internal and external technical and business units.
• Experience in defining new architectures and ability to drive project implementation.

• Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and independently.

• Competent in estimating, planning, tracking, and reporting project status, while managing change requests and project scope.

• Demonstrated facilitation skills and experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of AWS platform, tools, and services like EC2, VPC, S3, ELB, SNS, SQS, EKS, ECS, CloudFront, CloudWatch, etc.
