DESCRIPTION:

  • Experience Level: 2-5 years
  • Works within the engineering team but collaborates closely with sales and NEEDS to be customer interfacing

  • Will relocate for the right person (ideally not too far away)

Must Have:
  • Ability to understand large data sets
  • Experience with a Third-Party Logistics and Supply Chain Management or in a warehouse or distribution setting
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to all stakeholder, both internal and external

Summary:The selected candidate will own the process of solutions design and price modelling to support a fast-paced sales environment selling high-end fulfillment and logistics solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Management of prospective customer data capture and comprehensive price modelling. Works closely with sales team to ensure extensive and accurate understanding of prospective client’s business and assesses quality of deals through data driven analyses. Is fully responsible for interpreting gathered data and accurately modelling both cost and revenue structures to maximize top line revenue.
  • Leads the design of bespoke customer solutions. Works closely with operational experts to stay up to date on current capabilities, identifies gaps, and designs creative solutions to expand customer fit profile. Is responsible for the design of any tailored solution and works closely with appropriate departments to handoff design concepts for implementation.
  • Technically presents solutions and operational capabilities to prospective clients. Supports sales team in engaging customer interactions as an operational expert to help overview, educate, and sell our service with intelligent expertise. Consults customers on business problems and works as their partner to determine effective solutions that benefit both parties.
  • Delivers relevant outputs to support the full deal cycle. Including but not limited to: Executive Summary, P&L Projections, Sensitivity/Risk Assessment, Simulations, ROI Analysis, Data visualizations. These outputs are to be delivered to clearly communicate necessary information through all phases of the deal cycle, help financially protect the organization, and arm other departments with the tools needed to be successful.
  • Presentation of results to internal stakeholders. Presents analysis and leads discussions with key internal stakeholders. Required to share results of work and the impact on the business with the Capacity Executive team.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2 years in logistics, distribution, supply chain or warehousing industry with a strong focus on design, engineering, and/or analytics.
  • Engaging, influential, and collaborative people and interpersonal skills. Is a clear and effective communicator.
  • Works exceptionally well in teams and group environments. Can lead discussions and drive collaborative efforts to action and execution.
  • Can perform extensive critical thinking and problem solving – evaluating alternatives, and identifying solutions using systematic, multi-step approaches.
  • Can build analytical models that accurately reflect physical processes and corresponding costs. Thinks of creative solutions that can drive revenue while solving a customer’s problem.
  • Experience with relevant simulation software is a strong plus. Can use the software to test, conceptualize, and quantify designs and can present solutions to customers through animation.
  • Has experience with Tableau or similar BI software. Must be able to leverage tools to digest and interpret data and produce value added visuals.
  • Has experience with facility layout, workflow, and material handling systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills with an emphasis on advanced level Excel and PowerPoint.
