Director of Web and E-Commerce

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in search of a Director of Web and E-Commerce in Rexburg, ID. The company is made up of multiple divisions focused on manufacturing, wholesale distribution, and direct-to-consumer segments.Summary:We are currently looking to hire a full-time Director of Web and e-Commerce Development to be part of the CIO's leadership team to lead our existing team of developers and implement world-class web applications and a headless e-Commerce architecture for our internal and external websites. This is a leadership position that will require some hands-on work with both back-end and front-end development in collaboration your in-house team. It truly doesn't get any better than this!Where you'll spend your time: Leading your team of back-end developers, front-end developers, QA testers, and providing mentoring and performance feedback on an ongoing basis Architecting the next generation of our development roadmap - Headless e-Commerce Informing and influencing our product roadmap, determining resourcing for ongoing projects and informing stakeholders of progress towards milestones Working collaboratively and deeply with Program Management, following Agile practices, and holding your team accountable to roadmaps and deadlines Being a thought leader for the CIO organization for development best practices, technology, and innovations Using your in-depth knowledge of web architecture to create a highly scalable, 24x7 business Building leading-edge web applications for a great customer experience Developing web-based applications and reporting for internal uses Developing and maintaining APIsREQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar field; 10+ years of back-end development or related experience 3-5 years in a leadership position leading other developers, engineers, and programmers 5+ years of experience in e-Commerce or in an environment that is built for high availability 24x7 A self-starter, passionate about their work with new ideas Strong understanding of PHP 7+ required GIT experience Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming within a modern MVC framework (such as Laravel, Phalcon, CodeIgniter, FatFree) Understanding of modern coding practices like Traits, Method inclusion, Interfaces, Namespacing very helpful Experience working with JavaScript/CSS, SOAP, RESTful APIs SQL knowledge (MySQL or MSSQL specifically) MongoDB or other NoSQL Database experience (preferred)Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
