Job Description for "WVD Support Engineer"
- Deliver remote desktops and apps from Azure with Windows Virtual Desktop.
- Experience in Deploying Windows Virtual Desktop in Microsoft Azure
- Experience on Provision a Windows Virtual Desktop host pool.
- Review how to deploy Windows Virtual Desktop.
- Set up the Windows Virtual Desktop tenant.
- Experience with migrating and maintaining VDI workloads in Azure Cloud
- Plan, design, implement and support Azure, Office 365 and On Premise solutions.
- Experience on Azure IaaS
- Experience on Azure Active Directory & Group Policy
- ARM Templates + Powershell scripting experience
- Hands on experience deploying and managing virtual desktops with Microsoft Windows 7, 8.1, 10
- Understand the Windows Virtual Desktop configuration workflow.
- Provision an Azure tenant and set up Azure Active Directory.
- Integrate Azure AD with Active Directory Domain Services.
- Provision the required administrator roles in Azure AD.
- Should have Extensive experience with standing up and operationalizing Microsoft Azure, leveraging engineering and architectural concepts
- Provision the required administrator roles in Azure AD.
- Configure apps and desktops for users
- Experience configuring / managing Azure IaaS & PaaS technologies such as Subscriptions, Storage Containers, VNET, NSG's, Storage Explorer & Cost/Billing management
- Hands on experience with network connectivity to Azure ExpressRoute.
- Experience with on-prem to cloud VDI replication and DR strategies - Azure Site Recovery, Nutanix Cloud Connect, etc.
- Experience with VMware & Hyper-V technologies
- Experience with Active Directory - Group Policy Design & Architecture,
- Hands on experience with performance monitoring and alerting for cloud workload instances
- Extensive experience with automation leveraging Azure CLI, PowerShell, VBS to automate and simplify tasks.
- Experience on Enterprise Mobility suite
- Collaborate with operational counterparts to support and discover opportunities for improvement via automation, process improvements, etc.
- Automate repetitive tasks where possible to improve service delivery and reduce operational overhead
- Develop and communicate HA/resiliency standards to ensure business and operational requirements are being met.
