Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a BI Programmer for a REMOTE CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Computer Software clients in Ann Arbor, MI. This is a Remote/Telecommute Position. As a Programmer of Business Intelligence, you will be responsible for designing, creating and maintaining high value Business Intelligence solutions which senior executives can deploy in regular decision making. Responsibilities :

  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while also being able to execute work independently
  • Ability to problem-solve complex issues independently and with a team
  • Meet project timelines and deadlines while producing high-quality work
  • Ability to identify the big picture in all components of decision making using the top-down thinking approach.
  • Eagerness to learn and the ability to adapt to company culture.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with peers, project team members, and customers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication ability
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment
  • Knowledge of the coding process and ability to write and implement strong code.
Required Skills:
  • At least 3 years of experience in software development related to business intelligence solutions involving Dashboard / Charts / KPIs / Reports and other analytical solutions
  • Experience with Dashboard / Charting / Analytical libraries/tools:
  • MUST have: Fusion Charts
  • Nice to have: Any of BI Reporting frameworks like QlikView, Power BI, Vantara, pivotJS, Tableau
  • Complex relational data modeling, including Data Warehouse architectures.
  • Databases "MUST haves: MS-SQL server (design of database scripts for data extraction, indexing, views, stored procedures, and performance tuning thereof)
  • Full-stack J2EE application development
  • HTML5, JavaScript, REST APIs and UI libraries
  • UI layer programming "NICE to have:
  • Bootstrap
  • XML/XSL
Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Management information systems or related field
