Description The Solutions Architect's role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain complex full-stack systems (Servers, Networks, Storage, Cloud, etc.) structures designed to be fully scalable to meet the business and clinical requirements. The Solutions Architect determines what data is or needs to be available, and creates a blueprint for creating, testing and maintaining various solutions; this includes writing, coding/scripting, testing, and analyzing design for maximum performance. This role interfaces very closely with Programmer Analyst's, Developers, and Infrastructure teams to design and develop software programs and applications in accordance with the Application Development Methodology (ADM). The Solutions Architect will also research, design, document, and modify solution specifications throughout the production life cycle.RESPONSIBILITIES•Analyzes project requirements.•Creates/builds POCs.•Key participant in technology recommendations and selections.•Project management support.•Conducts research on emerging technologies and how they fit within the current environment.•Liaises with vendors for efficient implementation of new technology tools, products or systems and for resolution of any adaptation issues.•Liaises with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with company software systems.•Develops tools and scripts for automating common systems administration workloads in both Windows and Linux environments.•Creates, maintains, and supports the company's cloud environment using infrastructure as code technologies.•Creates, maintains, and supports systems to monitor the heath, performance, and status of the company's various systems.•Works closely with Software Development teams providing support and assistance troubleshooting software deployment, and performance issues.•Complies with Polices/Procedures protecting patient information and the confidentiality of the information in accordance with the Federal and State regulations, including CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, Hitech and SOX.This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as deemed necessary.REQUIREMENTS•Background in engineering and software architecture design.•Experience in DevOps.•Familiarity with programming or scripting languages, including but not limited to: C#, Python, PowerShell, and JavaScript.•Excellent understanding of coding methods and best practices.•Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments.•Familiarity with Linux Server environments.•Familiarity with source control systems such as GIT.•Familiarity with software deployment tools such as Jenkins, Teamcity, or Octopus Deploy.•Knowledge of configuration management tools such as SALT Stack, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.•Working knowledge of Docker.•Knowledge in Cloud Platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.•Experience writing software, tools, or scripts used in production environments.•Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform.•Experience writing, using, or working with HTTP base APIs.
