Jacobs is much more than just a traditional engineering company.As a vital member of our Boise, ID team, you’ll have the opportunity to work on transportation projects that focus on bridge and other transportation structure design. Working alongside a team of technicians and engineers, you’ll be responsible for creating computer models, performing calculations of section properties and weight take-offs, preparation of calculations, etc.Our Structural (Bridge) EIT performs evaluations of structures of various degrees of complexity, prepares plans, designs, calculations and cost estimates under the supervision of experienced engineers, researches code issues and works with City, State, and County officials and researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.If you want to join a company invested in you, your success and the global community - join us as an Entry Level Bridge Engineer.#BIA#JacobsUniversityQualificationsHere's What You'll Need:Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and/or Structural Engineering

At least one previous summer design internship on transportation, water, and/or land development projects

Working knowledge of Word and Excel

Experience or completed courses related to SAP2000

Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.

Ideally, You’ll Also Have:Masster's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

A GPA of 3.0

EIT certificate

One previous summer internship experience with AutoCADk Civil 3D, and AASHTOWare BrR

Successful bridge engineering experience

1 year minimum bridge design experience and knowledge of LRFD design code
