A client of ours need a Sr Java Architect. 6-month Contract to Hire.Immediate interviews.
During COVID this position will be remote. Post-pandemic, the Java Architect will need to work at the client site. The Senior Java Architect is responsible for the design and integration of large-scale systems and enterprise initiatives. The Architect will review requirements, write and review architect specifications, execute on specific tasks, and provide support for work generated. Due to our end Client, candidates must be hirable without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.Duties and Responsibilities- Design and implement applications that conform to a business need.
- Provide technical leadership on large-scale projects.
- Resolve issues, perform research to determine solutions, prioritize and suggest technical strategies to achieve objectives.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor other team members.
- Review requirements; generate architecture documents; provide a rough order of magnitude estimates; and implement and perform unit integrations and capacity testing.
- Write architecture documentation
- Propose, develop, review and revise new procedures for the continuing development of high-quality systems.
- Share architecture with team, ensuring design consistency during development
- Bachelors' degree or higher in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
- 10 or more years of software development experience. Previous software architecture experience.
- 7 years of Java experience
- 5 or more years' experience writing functional/detailed design / architectural specifications based on user and/or system requirements.
- Understanding of advanced principles of software architecture.
- Masterful understanding and application of several programming languages and tools.
- Masterful understanding of system interfaces such as REST
- Ability to work with architecture and design tools
- Ability to work in an agile environment
- 4+ years of Angular or JavaScript
