We have experienced explosive growth as an emerging leader in the Financial Industry and are looking for a senior technical leader to assist in driving us forward. The person filling this role will play a key part in driving United Wholesale Mortgage technology and process.As an AVP of Application Development at United Wholesale Mortgage you will play a key role in advancing our enterprise applications in a fast-paced agile environment, while working collaboratively with our IT and business teams. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience with the entire software development life cycle and have the demonstrated ability to control work scope and timeline, to assure the delivery of business value. A track record of success in incremental agile delivery is a must.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Organize and support a fully cross-functional agile delivery team
  • Work with our stakeholders and product owners to understand their expectations for their products and problems
  • Work with a high sense of urgency, provide updates to your teams, stakeholders, and Product Owners around any issues.
  • Provide active coaching and mentorship to direct reports in alignment with the company culture and values
  • Collaborate across IT and business areas to assure efficient use of technology to solve business level problems
  • Foster collaboration amongst teams and leaders regularly and ensure effective communication across team and business lines
  • Implement best Software Development practices with your teams
  • Assist with creating and driving application development initiatives
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU

Required:
  • 3+ Years of professional work experience in IT (BA, QA, Dev, etc.)
  • 2+ Years of experience as an IT Leader
  • 2+ Years of experience in an AGILE environment
  • Proven ability to grow leaders and deliver projects
  • This position requires on-site attendance.

Preferred:
  • Experience in the mortgage industry
  • Experience with TFS
  • Experience in an Agile environment
