Software Engineer Practitioner

Stefanini Group is looking for a Software Engineer Practitioner in Michigan! Position Description: The team is supporting several applications with varying technologies and development models. This position provides an opportunity to become part of the stabilization and growth of our client's claims application. Development follows Agile practices with continuous integration and deployment geared towards a business and user value driven approach. The team frequently delivers user stories in 2 to 3 week sprints targeted on a Minimum Viable Product (MVP). The team culture is very collaborative and supportive of each other. Position duties: Engage in Agile practices including but not limited) backlog grooming, sprint demos and Continuous Integration, with ability to adapt pair programming, Test Driven Development (TDD) in future Develop with various technologies including .Net framework and SQL Server and reporting and collaborate across multiple teams including infrastructure, architects, IT suppliers and business partners Work directly with Business partners (Product Owners) to deliver application changes at market speed Develop and automate unit and integration test scripts Strong knowledge of distributed systems Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools and best practices, using Dynatrace, and Splunk Strong understanding of system and application performance tuning Knowledge of professional software best practices for a full software development lifecycle Experience with critical 24x7 systems Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery and Test Driven Development Primary Skills Required: 5+ years in field Strong Object Oriented development background in web technologies Knowledge in C# and .NET framework Knowledge in Databases Strong oral and written communication skills DevOps, Agile, ETL development experience with large data sets, SQL (stored procedures, functions, triggers), & SSIS experience Skills Preferred: Insurance domain knowledge is a plus Reporting experience Paired programming Test Driven Development Experience Required: 5+years development experience Design SSIS packages to move data from various sources into other databases and the data warehouse Independently analyze performance issues and defects in existing ETL processes and solve them Troubleshoot previous SSIS packages to solve issues Education Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent Interested?
