DescriptionDevelopment operations (DevOps) engineers are responsible for the production and ongoing maintenance of an App and website platform. They also manage cloud infrastructure and system administration and work with teams to identify and repair issues on an as-needed basis, so strong communication skills are important in this position. They are generally expected to work well under pressure with tight deadlines for certain tasks, and a proactive demeanor and friendly disposition are also helpful. DevOps engineers may work with junior and senior engineers, project managers, and executives, as well as administrative assistants, executive assistants, and a receptionist. Hours can be flexible, though they typically work during regular weekly business hours, and they are not usually responsible for customer/client interaction or supervising junior employees.Devops position with Xamarin, Microsoft Azure and Visual Studio App center.

Job Description:DevOps Engineer will be working as part of SSPP App Technology Enablement Team and will be responsible for the following:
  • Maintain and enhance the build pipelines and runners for multiple Xamarin based Mobile applications
  • Administer access to builds via App Center
  • Generate release builds using the automated pipelines built on GitLab CI environment
  • Conduct security analysis/audit of release builds using Veracode scans
  • Develop and Maintain utilities to assist in Xamarin based mobile app development Ex: Service mocking/virtualization tools, Debuggers etc
  • Develop tools, plugins and packages which will enable faster development of mobile apps
  • Develop frameworks for automated deployment with CICD pipelines, cleaner development patterns, etc.
  • Triage production issues and provide first level support

Technical Skills:
  • Hands-on experience as DevOps Engineer with implementation knowledge of CI/CD infrastructure
  • Experience with GitLab CI Architecture
  • Minimum 3 years of Development Experience of Android and iOS apps using Xamarin Forms
  • Strong Knowledge in automating build pipelines using MSBuild
    • MSBuild in the context of Xamarin is a plus
  • Familiarity with production deployment of mobile applications
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (Datadog) and Cloud infrastructure( Microsoft Azure, Visual Studio App Center )
