A polished and professional commercial real estate company in Sacramento is looking for aReal EstateAccounting Managerto join their team. This person will be assisting with account reconciliation, general ledger input, year end close, and generating analysis reports. Duties/Responsibilities:

Review, analyze, reconcile and adjust general ledger for +/- 65 entities on a monthly, quarterly and/or annual basis.

Prepare and/or review monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reporting packages to both affiliated and 3rd party owners.

Review and approve entity related invoices to ensure proper coding/allocation.

Manage and report on entity cash accounts including cash receipts, disbursements, reconciliations, transfers, loan payments, property tax payments, capital calls and distributions.

Review, post and monitor all annual and supplemental property tax billings and coordinate with property management team to provide property improvement cost information for county assessors.

Coordinate and manage annual budgeting process for each entity with property managers and update accounting system accordingly.

Manage annual CAM/OpEx expense pool reconciliations and tenant chargeback process in a timely manner.

Record and track cost related to shell and tenant improvements, as necessary.

Review and post all lease incentives and commissions monthly.

Prepare all financial reports for lenders, as required.

Coordinate preparation and filing of tax returns with CPA firm.

Correspond with lenders, owners, partners, tenants, vendors, etc. as needed.

Ensure timely and accurate state and county filings for entities.

Provide review services to Jackson Hospitality group on monthly basis.

Develop and implement processes and procedures within department to ensure accuracy, efficiency and proper internal controls.

Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Directly manages the property management accounting staff which includes two Property Accounting Clerks and one Staff Accountant.

Recruit and hire accounting staff and evaluate performance.

Coordinates training programs for onboarding new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.

Education, Experience and Skills:

B.S. in Accounting (CPA/MBA preferred; not required).

Commercial property management accounting experience is required.

7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3-5 years of management experience.

Experience with property management software (MRI preferred).

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Strong understanding of GAAP, real estate reporting requirements, and general knowledge of partnership taxes.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and delegate in order to meet deadlines.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong work ethic.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Self-motivated and comfortable taking charge.

Detail oriented and willingness to solve any problems that may arise.
