Job Description

Broadridge is seeking a hardworking, innovative, and creative Senior Quality Assurance Analyst to join our growing team in Ed. In this role, you will provide mentorship, tackle the analysis, planning, and organization of multiple test plans and scripts, and provide exceptional support for both internal and external clients. This opportunity will allow you to use business requirements documents to analyze changes or revise code to create QA test plans in the QA test planning tool. As a Quality Assurance Analyst you will ensure quality of new or modified Broadridge applications/systems across multiple systems/environments (e.g., client files, mainframe based, Web based systems, Server based systems etc.).

Responsibilities

  • You will conduct independent analysis, understand requirements, and prepare comprehensive test scripts/plans and document test results based on changed or modified code
  • You are in charge of identifying, communicating and detailing testing discrepancies encountered during testing
  • You will contribute your proven expertise on simple-to-complex projects that involve multiple products during all phases of project life cycle
  • You will review requirements and participate in reviewing the design specifications based on client specific needs
  • Your participation in the development of consistent testing methodology and environments will be essential to our team
  • You will handle change management metrics on assigned product responsibilities
  • Attend and/or conduct change management/traceability meetings to review current changes in each QA cycle /release with Development and Product teams.
  • Attend Client Focus Group meetings to keep abreast of client and Industry initiatives and changes
  • Support for production turnover validation for change records that are implemented into production each cycle/release
  • Prepares and executes test plans for positive, negative and regression testing as per departments policies and procedures
  • Interact, grow, and maintain positive relationships with departments on change management requirements.
  • Provides testing support to Development, Product & Conversion, Client Services and Support; you will also tackle testing support on production issues

Qualifications

  • Hands-on solid understanding in software test planning, estimating and test cases creation.
  • Experience of and ability to craft and execute effective test cases
  • Hands on solid understanding of /defect management systems, preferably Quality Center or Jira
  • Proven experience with testing mobile products across multiple mobile platforms, particularly iOS, Android, and/or Windows phone.
  • Proven understanding of mobile video and audio encoding formats.
  • Hands on experience with (technical) troubleshooting of mobile applications.
  • Working experience with exploratory and/or usability testing
  • Knowledge of the full software development and testing lifecycle.
  • Solid understanding of Objective-C, Java, JavaScript, XML, xslt, SQL, relational databases, HTTP HTML, testing of xml or JSON feeds, shell scripting
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Able to work on their own to research blockers/problems and ultimately to identify efficient solutions.

Preferred

  • ISTQB or ISTQB-Mobile certification.
  • Background in Financial Services or FinTech, a plus
  • Experience of hands-on testing in Agile development environments
  • Working knowledge of automated testing solutions for mobile products.
