Position SummaryThe Cloud Systems Administrator will be responsible for automating, organizing, monitoring, and maintaining all Neptune Cloud / Data Center Operations for both internal customers and external SaaS applications and systems. While working closely with the DevOps team to facilitate the successful development and deployment of Neptune software.Essential Responsibilities:Work outside of business hours may be required (requirement to be on call for system down/critical issues support).Assist in the quarterly review of application access control as part of the SOX auditing process.Provide Tier 2/3 support and ensure operations, software, or hardware trouble tickets are responded to in a timely manner, verify any response time SLAs are met or exceeded.Logging all relevant incident/service request details, allocating categorization, and prioritization codes.Providing first-line investigation, diagnosis, and perform root cause analysis for production errors.Recommend improvements to the Neptune environment to ensure performance, up-time, and incident avoidance.Resolving incidents/service requests within appropriate SLAs.Communication with users keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages, etc.Adhere/comply with company policies and procedures.Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.Ability to work/excel in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and effective multi-tasking is essential.Team-player with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.Self-starter without the need for constant direct supervision.Analytical, with problem-identification and problem-solving capabilities.Technical:Experience with CI/CD practices and tools (Jenkins).Experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Salt.Scripting in Python, Bash, etc.AWS networking/provisioning.Comfortable in source control tools such as Git.Architect, design and implement solutions with AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) and Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).Physical Requirements, duties to be performed with or without reasonable accommodations: Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objectsWorking Conditions: Generally agreeable working conditions such as those found inside offices or equivalent work areas for more than 70% of the time.Working Environment: This role is work office-based. Flexible and/or remote working options may be considered and are reviewed/approved by management.Travel Requirements: Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.Leveling Information:Overview: Career-level position within the field. Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline.Complexity: Conducts complex work important to the organization. Contributes to the measurable team and/or organizational objectives.Degree of Independent Judgment: Minimal supervision with wide latitude for independent judgment.
