Senior Network and Cloud Systems Engineer

- Build a strong professional relationship with our client base
- Implement and adhere to ITIL framework
- Provide preventative maintenance services
- Provide emergency service to clients as required. Troubleshoot and resolve network, server, workstation, and software problems
- Install servers, workstations, printers, routers, firewalls, and other hardware as required by client
- Install operating systems, networking software/firmware and application software.
- Configure and tune software to meet the client’s functional, performance and security requirements
- Architect and design networks and systems to meet client’s requirements. Document these designs and present proposals to clients for their review and acceptance
- Track daily activities to generate billing reports. Work with the client and with Management to determine how to increase the company’s value to its clients
- Assess and recommend public, private and hybrid Cloud solutions, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
- Design, architect and lead the implementation of Cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and underlying technologies
- Bachelor or Associates degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems desired. Education may be substituted with related work experience
- Overall, 8 or more years’ experience as an IT/Network administrator
- MCP, MCSA or MCSE Certification a plus
- CISCO hardware/IOS experience a plus
- Experience in Network Management in a Microsoft Windows environment
- Strong TCP/IP, DHCP and DNS configuration and troubleshooting experience
- Firewall and VPN installation, configuration and troubleshooting experience IIS configuration, load balancing and troubleshooting experience desired
- Experience in planning, installing, troubleshooting and administration of Microsoft Windows Servers including Server 2016 and 2019 and Windows 10, 7/ 8.1 Desktop operating systems
- Server virtualization technologies, Microsoft Hyper-V experience required, other virtualization experience a plus
- Client virtualization technologies, e.g. Citrix Xen Desktop/XenApp, VMware View, Microsoft RDS and App-V experience is a plus
- Strong background in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory design, implementation, and administration desired; ADFS experience preferred
- Experience in the planning, installation, troubleshooting and administration of Exchange, including Exchange 2013, 2016
- Experience with Anti-virus solutions
- Experience in the design, deployment and administration of backup and disaster recovery solutions
- Microsoft Azure and Office 365 experience required
- Experienced in Azure Resource Manager, DSC and JSON
