Network Engineer with Voice over IP (VoIP) Experience. Please note that this project assignment is with our own direct clients. We do not go through any vendors. STG only does business with direct end-clients. This is expected to be a long-term position. STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance to those candidates who need it.

Position Description:
  • Be part of a Fulfillment Team in Collaboration Services delivering of IP Telephony and Analog Telephony.
  • Refresh Cisco voice gateways and Cisco analog gateways.
  • Meet with customers, suppliers and Collaboration Services Product teams to gather and evaluate requirements for projects.
  • Meet with customers and telecommunications suppliers to reduce the amount of Centrex and POTS circuits.
  • Manage the inventory of various Cisco IP Phones, ATA"s, voice gateways, etc.
  • Maintain and prepare Cisco lease equipment for return.
  • Maintain the BMC (IT Connect) fulfillment queues for Collaboration Services.

Skills Required:
  • Understanding of networking, telecommunications and Voice over IP (VoIP).
  • Understanding of Voice over IP (VoIP) or other client-server applications
  • Willingness to learn, understand, adopt, and leverage new technologies in the collaboration/fulfillment space.

Experience Preferred:
  • Understanding of telephony services (call routing, voice mail, digital and analog telephone systems, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of network infrastructure (switching and routing) and endpoints (phones, gateways, softphone, etc.)
  • Experience with Cisco Unified Communications systems (CUCM, Unity, VG, etc.)
  • Understanding of the Agile principles (Features, User Stories, Iterations, Releases, Velocity, etc.)
  • Highly motivated and self-empowered to resolve issues, always applying sound fact-based decision making.
  • Experience with secondary Microsoft Tools (Visio, Access, Project, etc.)
