You will be responsible for all facets of the fund accountant function and demonstrate strong abilities in the following areas: Prepare fund books and unaudited financials, foreign filings, outside partner requests, etc. Prepare allocations and bank reconciliations Prepare fund tax documents and reports; assist with review of investor tax information reporting Prepare financial statements for audits; gather information for requests/research questions fromauditors Calculate distributions to investors, including interest payable Review trading operations’ accruals, reconciliations, fundings / distributions; provide accountingsupport Research investor questions and gather information for investor requests Assist with quarterly mark procedures for private equity investmentsRequirementsKey requirements· Ideally 3+ years out of:o Public Accounting with clients out of FS (preferably Hedge Funds, PE, VC….)o Working at competing hedge fund firm.· Strong GPA and a CPA is preferred.· Comfortable with a flat team structure, everyone is called a fund accountant with exception of executives. There is still plenty of growth and learning opportunity despite titling. They even do rotations on the funds both Hedge and PE and larger/smaller/complex to ensure that the team is learning and developing and cross-trained.
