Contract to Hire Opportunity The Desktop Support Tech in this position uses a confident, positive attitude to deliver great customer experiences and to be invigorated by constant personal interaction. Work schedule will be Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM with on-call rotation required.Overview:
- Providing desktop support to a manufacturing facility with multiple building on campus
- Solve a broad range of day-to-day onsite technical issues on network infrastructure and internal desktop systems
- Customize communication, instructions, and product knowledge to the level of the individual
- Determine the most cost-effective repair to minimize customer downtime
- Prepare reports for analysis
- Experience supporting PC hardware and software, server and network equipment; as well as server application support and monitoring
- Customer support experience required
- A+ Certification required
- 3-5 years of previous desktop support experience working from a ticket management system
- Good communication skills
- Must have work experience in server, application, and network support within an enterprise
- AA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Solid experience and understanding of IT services and products
- Ability to transform technical IT language into terms everyone understands
- Relatable with customers and impeccable with follow-through
