Description SAIC is seeking a Software Systems Engineer Senior to work as part of a software development team in designing and developing web based systems engineering tools for the US Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC), located at the Detroit Arsenal in Warren, Michigan. NOTE: This position is temporarily work from home / remote / virtual work as part of a virtual team due to COVID-19. Will possibly return to the office after COVID-19 threat has passed. Job Description: The systems engineering web applications that are developed will be used to advance the Army's digital engineering capability. The Software Systems Engineer will be a full stack developer with experience working with customers during the planning phase, establishing requirements and use cases, building database management systems, developing user interfaces, and working in an Agile development environment. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, an ability to lead or be a significant contributor on web based software development projects, and the ability to successfully execute several program efforts simultaneously. Qualifications Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical degree with at least 5 years of professional experience developing web application software; OR Masters degree and at least 3 years of experience
- Full stack developer
- Experience working both the front and back ends of web application software
- Experience with JavaScript, especially a JavaScript framework (ExtJS, reactJS, Angular JS)
- Experience with MS SQL Server
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle (e.g., Requirements, Design, Development, and Test)
- Experience with Agile software development processes
- Must be a that has or is able to obtain a Secret Level Security Clearance
- Experience with php is a plus
- Experience with Apache HTTP Server is a plus
- Experience designing and developing web applications for systems engineering projects is a plus
- Experience with Systems Engineering processes and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) tools is a plus
