Measurement Technician

Duties and Responsibilities

Install, test, calibrate, repair, and maintain meters of various types including, but not limited to, orifice, Coriolis, thermal and turbine.

Troubleshoot metering issues to resolve measurement discrepancies

Coordinate with pumpers, foremen, superintendent and office personnel as necessary

Witness LACT meter provings and shake-outs to verify and maintain regulatory compliance

Report work results and details to all pertinent parties

Preferred Skills/Experience/Knowledge/Qualities

Operation of oil and gas well production equipment

Prior pumping experience is preferred

Meter installation, testing, calibration, repair and maintenance

Basic arithmetic, including flow rate calculation formulas

Ability to understand and implement meter operations manual

Hardworking

Ability to follow detailed directions

Gas sampling procedures
