Principal Product Manager (Digital Mortgage)

Our client, a national Mortgage firm, is innovating its digital back office and transforming operations through automation and needs to hire a Product Manager on a contract-to-hire basis to join their team in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the VP, Origination Technology, you will use your knowledge of mortgage banking (origination) and IT to assist in innovating its digital Back Office to transform business operations and sales.The goal is to identify automation opportunities, improve operations, increase productivity, introduce efficiencies, leverage data, and catapult the organization into a leading fintech organization. To start, they are developing proprietary modules, micro applications, and virtual assistants to support loan processors, underwriting and funding.

• Initiate, plan and execute projects while controlling the project lifecycle process to ensure timely delivery of quality solutions.
• Collaborates with Business Partners and Project teams to analyze, design, implement and/or support business application/systems.
• Develops detailed functional systems and program specifications using structured design methodologies.
• Experience in Agile Delivery, Sprint Planning, Scrum Ceremonies, Retrospective and Release Planning.
• Supports customers to resolve issues with systems or business process/procedures.

• Provides support for key business initiatives by integrating processes, systems and information to fulfill business objectives.

• Review and assess various technology vendor platforms for new innovative ideas and ensure team members are always updated on latest industry trends
• Championing opportunities for efficiency gains through leveraging technology

• Bachelor s degree in business or related field of study
• 10+ years of domain knowledge of all channels of mortgage lending and finance including Retail, Consumer Direct, and Correspondent
• 5+ years' experience managing or driving various mortgage lending products including Loan Origination Systems, Point of Sale Systems, Document Management Systems, Third Party Portals, Lead Management, and CRMs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex design and functionality concepts to business stakeholders, external customers, and technical personnel such as business analysts and software developers
• Highly passionate and positive in a rapidly changing and fast paced environment
• Possess project management skills and self-organization
• Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced schedule and tight deadlines
• Comfortable with the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
